I thought I was prepared for winter because the day before yesterday it was around 80 degrees then today it was like 35 and the weatherman said tomorrow it could snow so I guess I was wrong, that's Alabama for you.

ReplyDeleteI'm always prepared for winter's cold (it's a red badge of courage in Minnesota), but snow is another matter. I just hope we don't have tons before Christmas--when you have to walk to get groceries in the suburbs like I do, feet of snow is an exhausting prospect, especially if you have to carry the makings of Christmas dinner home.

ReplyDeleteWe have flash lights, new snow plowing tools, heated walk way. Extra food and Water. The power went out already this year. We had to call the oxygen company , because a family member needed a tank of oxygen because there was no power for the machine. So I hope we are prepared.

ReplyDeleteMy car is prepared for winter by having new tires, windshield washer fluid, telescoping snow brush, wipers and brakes that work well, and keep my gas tank at 1/4 or more. For me, I have boots of different heights, hat, scarf and gloves plus a down-filled coat.

ReplyDeleteIt's not really been cold here, yet. We've had a couple of frosty mornings, but by afternoon, the weather is warm enough that I haven't needed even a light jacket. The average temperature by the time the kids get out of school is the high 60's.
