ReplyDeleteYes, we have been having showers here in central IL almost every day. Thunderstorms at night and overnight, the weather is crazy. One day it will be almost 80 degrees out, the next day high winds and 45 degrees for a high temp.

It's been raining here for a couple days. I heard we're supposed to get at least 5 inches before it's over.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting a lot of rain here near the NY/PA border. Last year we had so much rain that we had a ton of flooding. I am hoping that that is not the case this year. But we already have super squishy ground and lots of mud. Thanks for the chance!

ReplyDeleteThe thing about living in a rain forest, is that our April Showers are more like April Waterfalls. The streets flood, cars break down because they're not boats and god forbid you leave a window open - unless you wanted a swimming pool instead of a house, that is!
ReplyDeleteBut then, in the morning, there's this freshness to the air that pairs wonderfully with hot coffee or cozy cuddles and the kids all run outside to play in the downpour.
The best thing about it are the rainbows. They're thick and vibrant and make me believe in magic, because something as beautiful as that just has to be.
It will be rainy here in Central Iowa in April. Do you get a lot of April Showers where you live?

ReplyDeleteYes, we get April rain, but often in storm form rather than showers. Although it seems 'tornado alley' has moved somewhat south and east in the past few years, we still do get most of our tornadoes in this season.

Here in Northern California it's just as likely to be warm-getting-to-hot - and dry- as it is to be rainy in April. This year the month started out wet and cool, then BOOM went straight to near-summer weather, then wet, then windy/cool, then last three days dry. 70s-80s. Forecast calling for more of same for the next week (my guess is that'll be it for spring weather, we'll jump right to summer:( ). I'd welcome more rain!
