Disclosure: I received a copy of these storybooks to facilitate a review and giveaway. All opinions are 100% mine.
I'm excited to share these books with you because they combine two things I'm very passionate about. In any given day I can be found at the computer listening to talk about Disney or listening to music and I love to share both of these interests with my children. The new collaboration of Disney with Hal Leonard music publishing has combined the Disney characters we love with fun ways to learn about music through storybooks perfect for young kids.
I received two of these books recently from Hal Leonard. Both were released in April of this year. The first is Tangled: It's Better When You Sing It. In the storybook we see and read about scenes from the Tangled movie and on each adjoining page we learn things about singing and ways to add song into your life. The illustrations in the book are beautiful and I think this book is a perfect introduction to singing for your young aspiring vocalist. For kids that are already singers it's nice because it throws in some music terminology and basic definitions to become familiar with like tempo and duet. It teaches that your voice is your very own instrument.
Mickey & Friends: Mickey's Found Sounds is a storybook with your favorite Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters. You'll read about how they turn a rainy day disappointment into their own musical parade. You'll also learn how you can create your own instruments with items you can find sitting around at home. This was my preschooler's favorite of the two books because he loves stories with Mickey. We also learned how to make homemade tube kazoo which we are going to do soon!
More information about all of the books can be found by visiting www.halleonard.com. The books are available from fine music stores, Amazon and bookstores everywhere.
The Giveaway: Thanks to Waldmania one lucky winner will receive their own copy of Tangled: It's Better When You Sing It Musical Exploration Storybook. Giveaway is open to US Residents only. Giveaway ends August 23rd.

I grew up learning the songs and enjoy singing them still. So, of course, I would love to have books on tapes (remember those days?) to allow the kids to learn these songs and allow me to sing loudly showing I know my stuff! Great choice of books!
