    I love I can finally think a bit once they are in school...lol. With 5 kids, it can get hectic and the kitchen is the one place they are always at. I don't have to make as many meals either.

    I love hearing about the activities my kids want to participate in and shopping for school supplies and how happy they are to see their friends again,but secretly the first couple of weeks of school I'm missing them so much until I get used to the routine again.

    My son and I pick a day, visit the mall and office supply store. We make an entire day of it and go for lunch and usually pick dinner up on the way home.

    There is so much possibility in the air at the beginning of the year. Everybody is re-energized after the long break, and any troubles from last year are a distant memory. This is a fresh start for every member of the school community, and as such, the school culture changes with every year.

    I love the steady routine of things. We actually can stick to it without a fight of our morning, after school and bedtime routines. I also love that they don't fight bedtime at all because they are so wore out by the time it comes they are ready to go to bed!

    I enjoy my kids' recounting of their day at school when I get home from work...hope they never lose that enthusiasm for learning !
