  9. My winter necessities include a warm hat and a knitted headband, scarf, gloves, warm coat and boots. If I have to be outside any length of time, there's skateboard pants or thermals/leggings to wear under pants and thick socks. Hand warmers worn inside gloves help, too. For two and a half hours, I helped a friend move on Monday and the temperature was hovering around freezing, so most of those items came in handy and I tucked my scarf around my nose to get it warmer.
