    hmm I don't really find either that scary! I used to have a pet snake who lived to 11 and I loved him so much, so hissing is out :) and I have always been fascinated with bugs since a kid!

    I have a pretty big phobia of both, so just about equal - but I guess on average, people generally see more bugs come into a house than snakes, so bugs to pick one.
