My family visited the SEA LIFE Kansas City Aquarium over Labor Day weekend last year.  We drove South from Des Moines and arrived in Kansas City around lunch time on that Saturday.  That ended up being a pretty good time to arrive at SEA LIFE.  Crown Center was hopping because an Irish Festival was going on, but we were able to score free parking in the Crown Center lot.  We also just had a short line before we got to buy our tickets and enter the aquarium. Because it is an indoor attraction the capacity is limited, so I would definitely recommend buying tickets in advance if you are able to plan ahead.

Our visit started off with their touchpool and my kids really enjoyed that.  They honestly spent longer in that area than I expected them to.  Their other favorite part of the aquarium was completing the free kids quiz trail.  They received a little something special for completing the quiz from the gift shop when we left.

My favorite part of SEA LIFE Kansas City was of course the underwater tunnel. There is just something about watching these amazing sea creatures swim over you and around you that makes you feel like a part of something truly magnificent.

The Octonauts were there during our visit, but my kids decided not to meet them at that time.  SEA LIFE has an all new Octonauts Zone in 2015 though that they are definitely going to want to check out.  There is a game with Peso, 3D digital talking Octonauts crew members and themed displays.  It sounds like a lot of fun.
