Frito-Lay ~ Did You Know? #fritofan

I'm a proud member of the Frito-Lay Fan Program.  Yes, this girl loves her chips! I'll confess I'm not to be left alone near a bowl of potato chips.  As a family we really enjoy our Sun Chips and tortilla chips.

Frito-Lay sent me some facts to share with you.  Did you know?
  • Many Frito-Lay chips are made with three simple ingredients:  potatoes or corn, oil and salt.
  • They use all-natural oils, such as corn and sunflower oils, so their chips have 0 grams trans fat.
  • Frito-Lay offers a Lightly Salted line of chips which contain 50 percent less sodium than their regular counterparts.
  • Many varieties of Tostitos tortilla chips contain 8 grams of whole grain per serving and Sun Chips multigrain snacks have 18 grams of whole grains and 2 grams of fiber per serving.
  • Frito-Lay supports American farmers and buys the potatoes used to make potato chips from 80+ farms across 27 states.
  • They use technologies that create renewable energy, such as solar power and biomass boilers, in some of their manufacturing plants.
  • Frito-Lay is taking measures to divert at least 99 percent of manufacturing plant waste from landfills..  One way they do this is by reusing shipping cartons up to 6 times before recycling them, helping reduce cardboard waste.
Thanks to Frito-Lay for sending some chips to enjoy and providing this info!  Do you love Frito-Lay?  You can sign up to become a Frito-Lay fan.
