20 Mule Team Borax Review & Giveaway
I have to confess I had never heard of Borax before I was given the opportunity to review it. I always love to try new things though, so I definitely wanted to check it out. Silly me. Borax is not a "new thing". It has been around for over 100 years! You'll have to forgive my lack of knowledge. I've never attempted to make my own laundry detergent so I had no idea this is a common ingredient in it. What I have learned about Borax is that there are many many uses for the product.
I decided to first try out Borax as a detergent booster. I added just a half cup of the natural powder to some of my tougher loads like my hubby's work clothes. When it works as a booster it gets your clothes cleaner than with just detergent alone because it helps soften hard water and helps keep stains from being re-deposited back onto clothes.
Borax not only helps remove stains, but it also helps neutralize odors which is why I'll be using it for our kitchen garbage disposal. You can just sprinkle a few tablespoons of it in the disposal then wait about 15 minutes before flushing out with water. There are many other uses for Borax and you can find a lot of cleaning tips for using Borax right on the back of the box.
Right now you have the chance to win $1500 from Borax in the Fresh Year, Fresher Laundry Sweepstakes. There will also be 171 winners of a free box of Borax.
The Giveaway: Thanks to Borax one lucky reader will receive three product coupons for a FREE box of 20 Mule Team Borax. Enter using the rafflecopter form below. Good luck!

We love Borax! Besides using it in our laundry we have another slightly unconventional use for it. We make "Space Mud" or home made playdough with it. My 4 year old son absolutely loves it! Best part is that it is non-toxic and we can save it in the refrigerator for a few days afterwards.
