I recently had the opportunity to create a photo book from Mixbook.com. I love creating photo books and make them regularly for my kids to help create lasting memories of special vacations or events.
Price: Photo books vary in size and price starting with 6x4 mini landscape from $6.99 to a 14x11 coffee table landscape book from $49.99.
Product Description: Mixbook photo books are 100% customizable. You can create starting from a blank book or use one of their existing templates and then edit to your liking. You can also create photo calendars, cards, invitations and annoucements. Photos can be uploaded from just about anywhere including Facebook, Flickr and Picasa.
My Review: I created a 11x8.5 landscape hardcover photo book. I uploaded about 70 pictures to use in the book and the first thing I noticed was the speed and efficiency of the upload process. I've been having issues with uploading on other photo sharing sites, so I was both relieved and impressed at how smoothly that part of the process went.
Since I wanted to make the book fairly quickly I decided to use the Auto Mix feature. I thought it was great. It did a really good job at grouping most of the pictures I wanted together. My only issue with using it was I would have liked to been able to select the number of pages for my book ahead of time. Since I was making a 20 page book I had to change the layouts for several pages and remove several other pages to get it down to the size I wanted.
I absolutely loved the layout options available for the photo books. There are a ton of options for varying number of photos that you would like to fit on a page and I love that there are options for placing up to 21 pictures on one page! I also loved that even though I used an existing theme I could easily remove the features I didn't want included in my book.
This was my first experience creating on the Mixbook site and since it was new to me there was a little bit of a learning curve as I tried to figure out how to move pictures from one page to another or remove pages. I would have preferred being able to delete a single page at a time vs. deleting a full spread, but that was a minor issue and not a deterrent at all for using Mixbook.
Ready To Try It? You can start creating your own customizable photo books with Mixbook.com and they will give you 20% off your order. Just enter promo code: FRGLMD20. Code does not expire, but can only be used once per customer.

This code was everywhere it was freebk and they cut it off uesterday at 10:00 when their "system" went "down" now they honor nothing to their coupon that was supposed to be all day. Im so upset I set up a beautiful book yet am not paying 40 dollars for something I dont know will be good.

Mandatory Entry: I think if I could make one of those awesome books, I'd either make one of my cats (like Ducky whose blog I am replying through) and their silly adventures, or of my more photoartistic endeavors. Although with the coupon code, I could probably eventually get both when I get myself set up to shop online.
