I typically take my kids to a local water park every year. We got to do it this past Tuesday and it was loads of fun.

It is ridiculous that we have never walked through the hiking paths on the stat land that is right around the corner from our front door.

ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to walks in the park. My usual place is under construction to make the All People's Trail better. There's a boardwalk that bridges a stream and refuels my spirit by being near the rushing and meandering water. My kids made leaf boats when they were little using a big leaf and a stick and would toss it over the side to have races and see if they would float a bit.

ReplyDeleteWe visit Tanganyika every summer. We've already gone once and taken two of our grandbabies with us. It's a wildlife park here in Wichita that receives no state or federal assistance. It is AMAZING!

ReplyDeleteHonestly, I do not have many things I love about summer. The kids are bored, ultilties and food costs go up, and more traffic. I do try to make sure and schedule some activities for the kids as well as all health appointments during the summer.
