My Daughter's Favorite Disney Frozen Books

Disclosure:  I received these books for the purpose of this review.

2014 really was the year of Frozen at our house.  It started in January with my daughter's Frozen themed birthday party and continued on through Christmas when she received the Frozen Karaoke player.  Not only can she serenade us to "Let It Go" any time she'd like now she can do it with a microphone.  (Thanks Grandma!) Throughout the year we discovered some other fabulous Frozen items including some great books.  Two of my daughter's favorites are the Disney Frozen Read-Along Storybook and CD and A Sister More Like Me

The Frozen Read-Along Storybook and CD is a favorite because it tells the story of the princess sisters Anna and Elsa completely.  The illustrations capture the movie scenes and just like the movie are beautiful.  The book is a little long which is one of the reasons why having the CD is great.  My daughter can listen to the Frozen story whenever she wants without Mom having to read it every time.  The CD includes sound effects and original movie voices.  It is word-for-word narration which makes it a fun tool for learning to read.

A Sister More Like Me is book that I truly enjoy reading with my daughter.  Both sisters take a turn in sharing their story, but this book is more about their relationship as sisters and is not a retelling of the movie.  Each sister's part is in their own color and font so you know which is which.  It gives a glimpse into their lives while they were growing up.  The story shows that we are all different from each other and that is a good thing!  The illustrations in this book are also beautiful, but look like a lot of fun too.  I enjoy the rhyming phrases and the rhythm to the story when reading aloud.  My daughter enjoys the pictures, especially those of the sisters as little girls.

Both of the books are available now.  Learn more about them and many more favorite Disney stories by visiting Disney Publishing.
