ChewJewels Silicone Chew Teething Necklace Review & Giveaway

My baby boy is the first child that I've been able to stay home with during the first year and the only baby I've had since I entered the world of blogging. Through managing this blog I've been fortunate to discover many awesome products that I never even knew about when my first two children were babies. Case in point this new necklace I received from ChewJewels.  I may have heard about teething necklaces before baby boy was born, but I never had one and I always thought it would be nice to have for little teethers.

ChewJewels is an Etsy shop for handmade silicone chew teething jewelry.  In the shop you'll find a nice selection of necklaces and a few bracelets all designed with mommy and baby in mind.  They are made from food grade silicone that is BPA and Phthalate free.  The necklace is also able to be put in the dishwasher and it has a break-away clasp as picture below.  Unlike jewelry made from metals these necklaces are safe for baby to put in his mouth.

I ordered the Rainbow Multicolor necklace from ChewJewels.  I really liked the multitude of colored beads because it allows me to wear the necklace with pretty much everything.  The bright colors also catch the attention of my little man and his eyes are immediately drawn to it.

The necklace is a great length for me and I can easily slip it on and off without fiddling with the clasp. I like to wear the necklace while working at my desk when I'm holding Mr. P. He is way more interested in the necklace than the keyboard which is a plus!  The beads are soft and he likes playing with them.

At 4 months old Mr. P doesn't have any little teeth that have popped out yet, but he definitely loves to be chewing on things.  It's nice to have something he can gnaw on that won't just fall on the floor as soon as he loses his grasp.

The necklace has a fairly good weight to it and seems quite sturdy so I'm certain this will be worn throughout his teething time.  This necklace sells for $20.99, but there are others available for as low as $16.  Learn more by visiting ChewJewels on Etsy.
