My family has a pirate themed event coming up so I was in need of a great costume for my son. Thankfully Wholesale Costume Club has a whole selection of Pirates of the Caribbean Costumes based on the movie. I found the Child Captain Jack Sparrow Deluxe Costume for T. The costume comes with a shirt and attached vest. Also attached are a sash and two belts. The pants can be comfortably worn over a pair of jeans. (I know at Halloween time we are always thinking about layering to keep warm.) The costume also includes boot covers, a bandanna with braids and a hat. T. was loving the costume and got right into pirate mode as soon as it was on. He was moving around a lot and everything stayed in place and he had no complaints about the comfort.
Since T. is small for his age I got the size small (4-6) for him. It really fit him well. The shirt was a tad bit too short for him, but the sash and belts cover it up and there is no way you would know it. I also think the boot covers would look better with some clunkier and darker shoes but we are making do with what we have for now. I'm excited for him to wear this for our pirate party and I know he is too!
