Noodles & Company Review & Giveaway

My family and I visited Noodles & Company at the Valley West Mall location for the first time last Friday night.  During the Lenten season we are often looking for options for dinner that are meat free for my hubby and I.  I'm not a huge fan of seafood, so pasta is a great choice for us.  We have visited Noodles & Company before, but it has been in other cities while traveling.  It took us a while to decide what to order, but once we figured it out we headed to the register.  There we ordered our meals and drinks and were given a number.  I have to say that the biggest excitement of our night out came when the kids learned that they could have just about any flavor of lemonade they wanted out of the new Coca-Cola fountain drink dispenser.

Our location offered cheese bread as an appetizer so we ordered this mainly for my picky-eater son so we knew he would have something to eat.  We also planned on him sharing some of his sister's spaghetti & meatballs.  I believe it came with six slices, but a couple of them were already nabbed by the time I took this pic.

Noodles & Company doesn't offer kids' meals, so we just ordered a small bowl for her.  They do offer kids' drinks though and those cost $0.79 which I didn't think was bad.  Little Miss didn't end up eating much of it after having a slice of cheese bread for herself, so we got a box to take it home.  I thought it looked good though with the Parmesan cheese on top.

I was having a tough time choosing between the Pesto Cavatappi and the Penne Rosa.  In the end I decided to try the Penne Rosa because I was in the mood for something a little spicy.  I ordered mine without mushrooms and I thought it was really tasty.  I liked the tomato cream sauce and it had a nice kick to it without too much heat.  I also chose parmesan cheese over feta, but I bet it would have been good that way as well.

My hubby ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles and he was happy with his choice.  I had a bite of his and the caramelized Udon noodles were very tasty and the bit of cilantro added a nice flavor.

Neither of us added meat to our bowls, but you have the option to add many different meat options or even tofu.  In addition to noodles you can also choose soup or salad bowls and even sandwiches.  Overall we were happy with our meal.  It arrived to the table quickly which is important with kids and had great tasting options for each of us.  We'll be back.  Visit their site to find a Noodles & Company location near you
