Right now you can get The Complete First Season of Homeland on Amazon for only $23.29. My hubby and I watched the whole season in a week and I got pretty obsessed with it. We don't have Showtime, so I'm very anxious for the second season to be released on DVD.
Homeland is a drama/thriller series that stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a Central Intelligence Agency officer and Damian Lewis as Nicholas Brody, a U.S. Marine. Mathison has come to believe that Brody, who was held captive by Al-Qaeda as a prisoner of war, was turned by the enemy and now threatens the United States. The series has received critical acclaim and won the 2011 & 2012 Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series – Drama.
