Our family loves the Minnesota Children’s Museum in Downtown
St. Paul. It is a must-do whenever we
visit. The kids have a blast exploring
and playing there. Their favorite exhibit
is “Our World” where they can shop or work at their own grocery store or serve
their parents food at a restaurant. I
have some great memories of my son dressed as a mailman delivering all the mail
to the different buildings in the neighborhood.
After our visit to the museum we’re usually all very hungry
so it’s off to Keys Café. You’ll find
two locations in St. Paul and you can’t go wrong ordering the pancakes. I’ve also read a lot about Mickey’s Dining
Car, but we’ve only driven by. It is
registered as a historic landmark and has been featured in multiple movies and
TV shows. It’s on my list of places to dine our next
visit.
St. Paul is also home to the Science Museum of Minnesota. It has many galleries that kids of all ages
love to explore and even learn from. I
remember thinking it was worth a visit just for the fantastic view of the
Mississippi River from inside.
Don’t forget about the Xcel Energy Center home of the
Minnesota Wild NHL team and host to some amazing concerts. Be sure to check out the performance schedule
at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and discover the beauty of The Cathedral
of Saint Paul. Honestly there is so much
to do in St. Paul we are never able to do it all in one weekend, but it is always
fun to try.
Have you visited St. Paul?
I would love to hear about your favorite attractions and dining spots!
