Moey's Princess Revolution! Children's CD Review @moeysmusicparty

Moey AKA Melissa Levis is a well known performer of children's music in the New York City area.  Earlier this year she released a new CD, Princess Revolution! When you hear the word princess you might be thinking of those princesses in the classic tales that we all know and love, but the songs on this CD rework those classic stories and give them a fresh twist.  The princesses on this CD are ones you know like Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Little Mermaid, but these girls are stronger and more independent.

This CD was my introduction to Moey and she made a positive impression.  It's hard not to when you're sharing messages of sharing and "I can do it" attitudes.  The upbeat songs stress the importance of having fun and playing while being confident and sharing your strengths.

Princess Revolution! contains 15 original tunes starting with the title track "Princess Revolution" and ending with "Princess Rock Star".  Our favorite tracks are in between.  A lot of the message might be missed by my 3 year old daughter right now, but she still loves the music and the CD will be enjoyed more as she grows.  Her favorite was track was "5 Little Princesses" a fun take on "5 Little Monkeys".  She also really liked the "Princess Pokey".  The "Princess Pokey" would be the perfect song to play at any little girl's princess party to get them moving.  One of my favorite songs was "Kiss Me Princess" set to the rhythm of "Born to Hand Jive".  I also really liked the song "20 Mattresses" which reworks the story of the Princess & the Pea in a surprising and giving way.

I would recommend this award-winning CD to anyone with young daughters.  It's fun and positive.  You can find it on Amazon.  To learn more about New York's #1 Mommy Rocker visit Moey's Music Party on Facebook or follow on Twitter.

Disclosure:  I received a copy of this CD for the purpose of an honest review.  All opinions are 100% mine.
