Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit Review

When I was in the work force I would pack my lunch almost every day.   That meant trying to find containers that would hold last night's leftovers, fit well in my lunch bag and that could be used in the microwave.  Rubbermaid has a new LunchBlox Sandwich Kit that meets all of those needs.  

 

The LunchBlox Sandwich Kit comes with 5 pieces that snap together including a handy Blue Ice pack that will keep your lunch cold when you're on the go. 

 

The containers in the set snap together perfectly with the ice pack. I like how the pieces are snapped so tightly together that I could pick up just one of the smallest containers and bring up the whole set.  I also love how well it fits in my favorite Built lunchbag.  (The only thing I miss about packing my lunches for work is using that lunchbag!) 

 

The kit is really perfect for my hubby's lunches now.  He takes lunch to work, but he doesn't work in an office so he eats wherever he is at the moment. That means he doesn't have a refrigerator to put his lunch in, so having the ice pack to keep it cold gives him a few more options on what he can pack in his lunch.

 

We typically hand wash plastic containers, but it's great that these containers are all dishwasher safe, plus microwave and freezer safe too.  And they are BPA-free.  After these were washed hubby used them to pack himself a lunch.

 



 

Since he's often on the go he usually packs food that can be snacked on or eaten quickly.  As you can see these containers worked great for some cheese and crackers, grapes and a bagel with cream cheese.
