Disney Junior ~ "Yo, Ho, Let's Go Summer" Starts Today!
Starting today, June 4th through August 24th Disney Junior begins its "Yo, Ho, Let's Go Summer!" programming. That means there will be all new episodes of kids favorite shows including "Doc McStuffins" (my daughter's personal favorite) and "Jake and the Never Land Pirates". Along with the new episodes premiering all summer long, DisneyJunior.com will be launching a summer supersite that will have new games and photo activities for kids and their parents. There's even a chance for some of the photos you submit to be featured on-air! My son would love that!
Disney has also released two new apps you can find in the iTunes app store. The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally app is for fans ages 2-7 years old. They will be able to touch, tap shake, swipe, drag and talk through an entire episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The activities included are counting, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
There's also a new "Jake's Never Land Pirate School" app where preschoolers can become completely immersed in Never Land and complete pirate-themed challenges presented in Sailing, Music, Flying, and Map and Spyglass classes. Other activities include: hunting for doubloons on Doubloon Beach; a customizable pirate certificate signed by Jake; and the ability to import a child's photo into Pixie Dust flying class.
Enjoy your summer!
