GIANTmicrobes is a company on a mission.  Their goal is to make gifts that both educate and entertain.  They have created a line of stuffed animals that look like tiny microbes only much, much bigger and I have to say much much cuter too!  These are toys that are great for teachers, anyone in the medical field and kids are going to enjoy them of course.


I received a Tick from their collection of Critters.  I thought a Tick would be appropriate for our family.  We enjoy a good hike in the woods, so ticks are one of the things we have to pay attention for.  This stuffed animal comes with facts about ticks and information on how to remove a tick.  It is a great way to bring up the subject with my kids and teach them what they need to be aware of.

My son was a big fan of the Tick as soon as he saw it.  My 3 year old daughter on the other hand was not a fan, but I think that has more to do with her brother chasing her with it yelling "I'm going to suck your blood!" than anything else.  There are several different microbes that are pink or purple that I'm sure she would have preferred.
