If you're like me and always seeking ideas for activities and fun things to do with your kids I'm happy to share with you that we have a new resource in the Clorox Recipes for Fun Site. On this newly launched site you can find and share recipes. What makes it special is that it's not just to limited to recipes for food, so you'll also find ideas for science experiments and arts & crafts projects. I think as my kids advance in school I wll appreciate this even more!
Some of the project recipes could involve getting a little messy, but when you have Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner on hand clean up is simple. You can "mess it up then clean it up"!
A guaranteed recipe for fun at our house is baking brownies! We do often use a box mix, but sometimes we like to change-it-up and whip together these yummy birthday brownies.
Birthday Brownies
3/4 c. melted butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. M&M's
Mix together cake mix, evaporated milk and melted butter. Add 1 cup chocolate chips. Press the dough into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle on the M&M's. Place back in oven for an additional 15-20 minutes.
Mr. T loves to add the chocolate chips and nab a few at the same time. |
Little Miss likes to "help" stir. They both love to sprinkle the M&M's and sneak as many as they can! |
Now that I've shared my recipe for fun be sure to head over to Clorox Recipes for Fun to check out some more. While you are there be sure to enter the $10,000 Ultimate Mess Party Sweepstakes.
