The cold spell we had here last week brought to my attention my children's desperate need for new pants. I let them both leave the house wearing high-waters on more than one occasion over the last 7 days. Thankfully I have a little habit of stockpiling clothes. Some items are clearance finds, some are hand me downs and a good majority are garage sale items, but no matter the source it ends up in a bin in our basement labeled by girl or boy and size.
This past weekend I finally devoted some time to my basement piles. I organized and put things in the proper spot. Then I pulled out the 2T bin for my daughter and it did truly feel like I was shopping. As soon as I get the laundry done she will have enough pants to wear that actually fit right.
My mom has a stockpile of food/canned goods in the basement and I LOVE "going shopping at Ma'am's" house. Although, I am a little scared of the canned minced meat from 1985. :)
