Disclosure: I receive a free download of this album for the purpose of a review and giveaway from One2One Network. All opinions are 100% mine.
The new album from David Gray will be released in the US on June 19th. The album titled 'Mutineers' is the singer-songwriter's first in four years. I first became familiar with David Gray as a lot of us probably did when his hit single "Babylon" was getting steady radio play. He was nominated for a Grammy in 2002. That was the year I got married. It is crazy to think how much has happened in the last twelve years. My husband and I have now have a family of five and our lives are about so much more than just the two of us. One thing that hasn't changed however, is our love for music. We like a lot of singer-songwriters so I enjoyed listening to this new release.
The album opens up with one of my favorites on it titled "Back in the World". Check out the official video for that song below.
Another favorite track is "Cake and Eat It". I like the guitar melody in it. It reminds me of something that I haven't quite been able to place. I also really enjoy listening to "Last Summer". The whole album is really easy to listen to and it's perfect music to have on while I'm working. David Gray has a great voice and writes descriptive lyrics that can take you away.
