Omaha is one of our favorite Midwest cities that we visit annually. The Henry Doorly Zoo is our favorite attraction there that we never miss, but we're also fans of the restaurants and shopping in the area. Our last visit included a trip to the zoo, the Durham Museum, and the Omaha Children's Museum. I'd recommend them all to families traveling there. In all of the times we've visited though we've never experienced the city during the holiday season. It looks like we've been missing out. There are holiday events galore going on in Omaha and you can find out more about all of them at VisitOmaha.com. We'll be headed to zoo again this winter and it's a great destination regardless of the weather outside because of all of the indoor attractions including the Lied Jungle, Desert Dome and Aquarium.
To learn more about all of the events taking place in Omaha visit their Holiday Events site and start planning.
