Reading at bedtime is a nightly ritual for my family.  I love to share books and  read aloud with my all of my kids.  As my two oldest grow up we have moved on to chapter books, but my youngest and I still love a good picture book.  It's an even nicer when I can read a book with him that shares our faith in a simple and beautiful way.

God's Great Love For You by Rick Warren was released last month.  It's a hardcover book for children.  It has great pictures for the younger ones and is easy reading for the older kids.  There's not a lot of text and uses mostly simple text which makes it great for early readers for on their own.

The book features beautiful illustrations by Chris Saunders.  I love the soft color palette and the ribbon detail that carries the story from page to page.  The flat layout fo the book is lovely and little ones will enjoy seeing things from the world around us like the moon, animals on the savanna and whales in the ocean.
