ReplyDeleteThe very first thing that came to mind was this: when I found my two cats. (I'm pretty sure I thought of this because my little orange cat, Sam, is sleeping sort of on my foot!) I adopted them less than a year apart, and I always wonder: What if I'd chosen a different day to go adopt a cat? What if I'd chosen from a different litter of kittens? What if I'd chosen a different kitten from the litter? ...But nope! I ended up with the most awesome cats in the whole world, ever. (Please don't try to argue or "reason" with me, please. Your cats are the most awesome in the whole world ever, too. :) )

ReplyDeleteThe odds have never been in my favour my entire life. I've never won anything and I'm having terrible difficulty finding a job without any previous employment experience. Having been a full-time student at two university and never working a part-time job in the past, without any past employment history, I cannot get a job anywhere. :-(

The odds or God as I see it was on our side when a drunk driver hit us and my husband was in bad shape and wasn't expect to survive but he did and we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary on June 21.
