I've confessed before that I'm a bit of a shoe addict. I love shopping for shoes and I have bought more than my fair share in my lifetime. But once I started working from home instead of an office the number of shoes that left the shoe-box rapidly decreased and other things took priority over new shoes. My stay at home mom wardrobe for most of the year is comprised of jeans and tennis shoes so that's where I let myself spend. I can justify the cost if I'm wearing them every day. For those of us who work and play in sneakers it's good to know that Lugz recently expanded its footwear line from traditional boots to also include casual and athletic shoes for men, women and kids.
Lugz is a footwear company that has been around since 1993 and started with a couple of styles of men's boots and some apparel. As the company has grown in reputation in multiple worlds including hip hop, OC Choppers and MMA the number of styles has also grown. One of their latest styles for women is the Zrocs. I was given the opportunity to try out a pair and chose the white/raspberry color combination that is no longer available. I tend to wear a lot of blue and I like the color contrast of having a bit of pink on my feet with the cool colored clothing I wear.
Zrocs are a casual sneaker that have white permahide upper, cushioned insole in the contrast color, padded tongue and collar, silver shoelace brackets and a metallic "L" logo on the side. The shoe itself might seem a bit chunky, but there's not a lot of weight to them. They don't seem heavy at all. They are a good shoe for someone that needs a good amount of support from their shoe. The cushioned inside is comfortable and nice if you're going to be on your feet for a while.
I like the look of the shoes when I'm in skinny jeans. I haven't tried them with shorts yet, but I think since I have a small foot they might make my feet seem too big. I'll probably stick to wearing them with jeans which works well because that combination will really go with everything. Coming from Lugz the shoes should hold up pretty well and last me a while. Of course the white color may need some cleaning if you want to keep the bright white look.
