LEGO® has been a part of our household since we had kids. We started with LEGO Duplo bricks and now my son is into LEGO Minecraft and Superheroes while my daughter loves her LEGO Friends sets. Their sets tend to be something mom and dad help with too and we enjoy ourselves when we do. The kids look forward to their monthly LEGO magazine in the mailbox. Our family has even made special trips just to visit LEGOLAND so I was excited when I first heard the news that Des Moines is getting their very own official LEGO Event in September.
The LEGO® Creativity Tour is coming to the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines September 18th-20th. The LEGO Creativity Tour will offer children of all ages an opportunity to build, create and enjoy an immersive LEGO experience through engaging play areas, family-oriented building activities and more.
Show sessions on Friday, Sept. 18 are 1:30-4:30 p.m. and 5:30-8:30 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19 and 20, sessions are 8:30-11:30 a.m., 12:30-3:30 p.m. and 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the LEGO Creativity Tour are $19 (plus tax and service fees). Children under 2 are free. You can purchase tickets in advance online and learn more about the event at LEGO Creativity Tour: Iowa Tour Stop.
