Rock N Learn Letter Sounds DVD Review and Giveaway

Disclosure:  I received this product for free for the purpose of this review and giveaway.  No further compensation was received. All opinions are 100% mine.

The school year is almost over for my kiddos and I'm still finding it hard to believe that my daughter's kindergarten year is almost over.  She has learned so much so quickly.  She has become quite the reader and just gets better all the time.  I love listening to her read and she likes to demonstrate her new skills as well.  We can put in the Letter Sounds DVD from Rock N Learn and she can participate in all of the activities and practice what she knows.

The Rock n Learn company was created in 1986 when the founders saw a need for entertaining educational programs that would hold the interest of students and show results.  Rock 'N Learn now has over 50 products to help students learn math, phonics, reading, early childhood, social studies, Spanish, test-taking strategies, writing, and science.   All of the DVDs utilize music along with colorful images as tools in the learning process.  I strongly believe that music plays a vital role in the education process, so I love that it is a key element of the Rock n Learn products.

My family has several Rock N Learn DVDs.  Letter Sounds is a great one that is designed to help kids ages 4-7 learn to read.  It's perfect for kids that are learning their letter sounds and kids that need to practice their letter sounds. It's also great for beginning readers because there are games that help them read and spell, common sight words and reading sentences.  When my daughter watches the DVD she sings along and competes with the characters on the screen in the games being played.  Since my 6 year old already knows her alphabet and letter sounds I really like that the DVD includes common sight words and forming sentences.  The DVD runs for about an hour so it can seem a little long for younger kids, but there is a good variety of songs and games included that mix it up.  For older kids like my 6 year old it is easier for them to stay focused on it.

The Giveaway: Thanks to Rock N Learn one lucky reader will receive a Rock N Learn DVD of their choice.  Giveaway ends May 11th.
