During the summer lunch was my least favorite times of day. The kids would bicker over what to have or I'd have to make multiple things for everyone to eat. Now that school is back in session lunch is now a favorite time of day because most of the time I get to sit at the table, eat what I want to eat and maybe even do some reading. I've been eating a lot of sandwiches for lunch lately. The only downside to that for me is that I crave a little something crunchy with my sandwiches and that is when Harvest Snaps come to the rescue.
Harvest Snaps snacks are either Snapea Crisps or Lentil Snaps. The Snapea Crisps are made with all-natural non-GMO peas. Lentil Snaps are made with lentils. Each variety contains high levels of protein and fiber. Snapea Crisps come in four different flavors including Lightly Salted, Caesar, Black Pepper and Wasabi Ranch. The Lentil Snaps come in Tomato Basil and Onion Thyme flavors.
If you're like me and crave a salty crunch during the day Harvest Snaps are a great alternative to chips. They baked and have less fat and sodium. The flavors keep things interesting.
The kids have also been enjoying the Harvest Snaps. They both like peas which is good because the Snapea Crisps definitely has an undertone of pea flavor, but it's not too strong. I have tried every flavor of Harvest Snaps and I'd have to say my favorites are the Wasabi Ranch and Black Pepper Snapea Crisps. The Caesar flavor left a little bit of an aftertaste. The Lightly Salted were really good, but light on flavor. You could each a whole bunch of them before you even realize it. Thankfully they're low in fat so you won't feel as guilty about it.
Now my biggest lunch stress is whether or not to eat all of them myself or by packing some in my kids' lunches. If you're needing some packed lunch inspiration be sure to visit Harvest Snaps' Lunchspiration site. Click on Random Box and then shuffle through the various squares. There are so many cute ideas!
