EatSmart Precision Elite Kitchen Scale Review

Disclosure:  Product was received for free for the purpose of this review.

I have to confess that I'm having some body issues right now.  My youngest son is now 5 weeks old and for the past two weeks my weight has been stuck in limbo.  I gained quite a bit of weight while I was pregnant and now with half of it gone the other half is holding on strong.  I'm nursing so I'm not going on any type of diet, however I do need to be more mindful of what I'm eating and how much of it I'm eating.

I've never been one to count calories, but I know I need to watch my portion sizes. The EatSmart Precision Elite Kitchen Scale can help me do both if I want.  The Precision Elite Kitchen Scale provides precise measurements to the nearest .05 oz or 1 gram.  It displays in ounces, lbs, grams and kgs.  The scale comes with an EatSmart Calorie Factors Guide that you can use to determine calculate the number of calories being consumed in all of the major food groups plus nuts, sweets and snacks.

I've used a smaller kitchen scale before, but I really like the bigger surface size of this scale.  Its large enough to hold a mixing bowl so if you want to add multiple ingredients while baking you don't have to dirty multiple bowls.

I also like that it can handle my dinner plate and the Tare feature eliminates the weight of the plate for accurate measuring.   The scale is very simple to use and honestly the instructions aren't really needed after taking a quick glance to learn which button is which.  The large lighted display makes it easy to read. It also has a 3-minute auto-shutoff feature so if you walk away from it for a while your batteries won't get drained.

The EatSmart Precision Elite Kitchen Scale is a great kitchen tool to have on hand for baking, cooking and weight-watching.  Plus its stainless steel design means it will look great in any kitchen.  It also comes with a 2 year warranty. You can learn more by connecting with EatSmart via Facebook or following them on Twitter.  You can purchase the scale on Amazon.

Be sure to stop back by the site soon for a chance to win your own Precision Elite Kitchen Scale thanks to EatSmart!

  14. I'd love to use this for baking. I'm bad about doing the "no-nos" when I'm measuring my ingredients - shaking the measuring cup to make the flour settle, which results in too much flour in the mix; or using a dry cup measure instead of a liquid measure for liquids, for example - so I could really use a more precise method.

  73. The EatSmart Precision Elite Kitchen Scale seems like a gem to have in the kitchen. The EatSmart Calorie Factors Guide is very interesting with it's calorie calculator for the major food groups. I've never seen a scale do that before. The size is very appealing. I've only used (and still do) small scales. A lot of the time it's a pain in the neck since you can only fit so much on it. I like how the EatSmart one can handle large mixing bowls and even dinner plates.
