We received the Angry Birds Pirate Pig Attack Game before Christmas and due to a whole round of family illnesses it took us a little while to get a chance to play this fun new way to take out some bad piggies. The goal of the game when you are playing with two players is to hit the pirate ship first and knock down as many piggies and pieces as possible and you can score with points. The nice thing is that you can also just play with one person and keep launching until you take the whole ship down. The only issue we encountered with the game is that one of our launchers for the karts didn't seem to work as well as the other. No big deal if you're playing on your own, but with two players one is kind of at a disadvantage.
My son is the Angry Birds fan in the family and this game is right up his ally. Even with other new things he received at Christmas he was still excited to play it. He likes the piggies and the bird that come in the game because they are interchangeable and you can use any of them in the karts that you launch toward the pirate ship. I will confess that it is pretty fun to launch the karts and see how far they can go up the ramp and knocking down pieces of the ship when they land. Of course you do have to set it back up to play again, but set up is not that big of an issue.
The game retails for $29.99 and is available on Amazon right now for $24.89. It is for ages 8 and up and 1 or 2 players.
