Weight Watchers Smart Ones Review & Giveaway #EatSmart

Weight Watchers Smart Ones are "Food with Principles" and foods that were created to support anyone with weight loss or weight maitenance goals.  With Smart Ones you can finally say "yes" to yourself without the guilt or the regret.  The 6 principles include saying "yes" to  portion control, breakfast, foods with protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, smart desserts and snacks and support and knowledge.

At this time in my life I don't have a weight loss goal.  I'm okay with my weight, but I'm not okay with my body.  Two years of being behind the computer blogging have taken a toll on my body and it takes seeing pictures of myself to put me in action.  For the most part I follow most of the Smart Ones principles.  I always eat breakfast.  I'm okay with portion control and eat plenty of foods with protein.  Areas I can definitely improve on are my consumption of fruits and vegetables and choosing smart dessets and snacks.

That's why one of the first items I wanted to try from Smart Ones was a dessert.  One of my worst habbits is eating ice cream at 9:00 at night, so I knew I would need a sweet treat to replace it with.  I tried the Peanut Butter Cup Sundae from the Smart Delights product line.  The package comes with four individual cups of ice cream at 140 calories each.

Although not quite as visually appealing as the package the important part was the taste and it did the trick.  The fudge sauce over the vanilla ice cream helped satisfy my chocolate craving and the chocolate cookie crust makes it more filling.  The mini peanut butter cups on top are delish and added an extra bit of indulgence to the treat.

I typically don't eat very well over lunch.  If I don't have leftovers to eat I'll often have what the kids are eating just to save myself time and energy.  That's why Smart Ones are a perfect meal.  I tried the Ziti with Meatballs & Cheese Satisfying Selection meal. These meals are a larger size with more protein and whole grains to help you feel full.  This is important to me at lunchtime because the afternoon is the worst time for me wanting to snack on something if I don't feel full.  The pasta, sauce and meatballs all had good flavor and I love anything with cheese.  These meals are so easy to make too!  Just follow the directions to microwave the bag and pour onto your plate to enjoy.

I'm looking forward to trying more of the Smart Ones desserts and also some of the Smart Anytime line like the wraps and rolls.  To learn more about Smart Ones and to view all of the available products visit EatYourBest.com.   You can also save now on Smart Ones using the coupon below.
