Golden Records: The Magic Continues Celebrity Series

Golden Records has been producing music and story albums since 1948 and was one of the first to combine story telling with songs.  They are still making great albums that entertain children of all ages today.  The latest album released is Celebrity Series:  The Magic Continues, Vol. 1.  The album is filled with 20 classic songs and stories that combine the digitally restored original recordings of the 50's & 60's with the voices of stars from today.  Included on the album are Ed Asner, Susan Sarandon, Alicia Silverstone, Busy Phillips, Cheryl Hines, Didi Conn and Constance Marie.

My Review:  My kids love listening to all kinds of music and play music on their own CD players most days and every night. They were very excited to see the new Golden Records ablum arrive at our house.  Somehow they just new from the bright colors and storybook characters on the cover that this album was for them.  During the day I would say they enjoyed listening to the songs on the album the most.  Their favorites include  "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" and "Pop Goes the Weasel".  They were familiar with most of the stories on the album, but I think it was nice for them to hear someone else's voice reading the story.  At bedtime my son enjoyed playing the album from start to finish and falling asleep listening to the stories.

You can watch the album's music trailer on YouTube.  If you'd like to buy the album you can find it on Amazon, iTunes, WalMart and Select-O Hits
