Hot Wheels Nitro Speeders Review & Giveaway!

I was given the opportunity to review the latest Hot Wheels RC Vehicle ~ a Nitro Speeder.  My son had a birthday this week and the car came a day before his party.  Of course he thought it was a great present for him and he was pretty excited about it.  Can you tell from this picture?

He was ready to get it out and start playing with it, but it wasn't quite that simple.  It requires 4 'AA' batteries for the controller and the use of a screwdriver.  After those were installed though it was ready to go!  My son had a great time sending it all over the floor.  It moved great on both the kitchen floor and the carpet.  Note: the car is very small (not even 2 inches long and almost an inch high) while I was upstairs my son managed to get the car stuck under our oven.  Thankfully we were able to retrieve it, but I wouldn't want to have to do that on a regular basis.  My son loved how fast the car went.  My 8-year old nephew also had a chance to play with the car and he also really liked the speed of it, but he thought the speed made it a little hard to control.  I love that it's so compact it would make it a great travel toy - as long are you are going somewhere where you wouldn't have to worry about the car getting lost!  The remote control plays triple duty as it is also the carrying case and charger.  I haven't figured out yet how long the car lasts before needing recharged, but I like that you just have to plug it in the case for about 25 minutes before it's ready to roll again.
