The Thanksgiving break didn't go quite as planned around here. I got hit with a stomach bug and completely missed out on any Black Friday online shopping. Our oldest was down with a fever for multiple days straight which made things somewhat calmer yet not right at the same time. We did manage to get our Christmas tree up and had some fun family time today at the Festival of Trees and Lights in Downtown Des Moines. The kids all went to bed early, so hopefully they're ready to go back at it tomorrow.
Here's what we're planning for dinners this week at our house:
- Sunday ~ Creamy Potato Soup
- Monday ~ Angel Hair Pasta with Chicken & Green Olives and Garlic Bread
- Tuesday ~ Skillet Chicken & Dumplings
- Wednesday ~ Pizza Boats
- Thursday ~ Grilled Hamburgers and French Fries
- Friday ~ Snacking at Adel Holiday Open House
- Saturday ~ Pizza Night
