Realistic Resolutions with Gorton's Review & Giveaway #RealisticResolution

Disclosure:  Product was received for the purpose of this post.

I'm typically not a fan of New Year's Resolutions and rarely make them myself. But in 2013 I made a resolution to get active and I kept with it until I became pregnant.  I gave myself a pass in 2014 since I had my baby boy in March of last year.  My little guy is almost 10 months old now though and I'm still carrying more than half of the weight I put on with him.  So I have resolved to lose the baby weight this year.  There will be no excuses; something has to change.  I don't diet, so this has to be done strictly through exercise and better choices.  Gorton's is a company that is making it easier for me to make healthier choices with their Grilled and Simply Bake products.  Fish and seafood are a natural source of lean protein and nutrients including iron, zinc and vitamins A, B and D so it is a great place for me to start!

Gorton's Simply Bake products are packaged in an exclusive bake perfect oven bag that you put right in the oven.  This makes the fish extremely easy to prepare perfectly and is cooked in as little as 24 minutes.  The bag locks in the moisture and helps infuse the flavor into the fish.  Even better it means there is little or no smell or mess.

We tried the Simply Bake Salmon with Roasted Garlic & Butter earlier this month served up with some creamy rice & peas.  It was a hit with the whole family, but I think my biggest surprise was that my oldest son who is the picky eater in the family gobbled it up.  My baby boy liked it a lot too!

Gorton's Grilled fillets are flame grilled and lightly seasoned with a taste as if they came straight of the grill.  Each fillet has only 70-100 calories and 3 grams of fat or less depending on the variety.  They are all natural with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and no MSG.  They're also Gluten Free.  Fillets are available in Grilled Tilapia, Haddock, Salmon and white Alaska Pollock in a variety of flavors.

Since the Simply Bake Salmon was such a hit we decided to also try the Grilled Salmon and served it up with some seasoned sliced potatoes.  This was another winner for my family and my personal favorite.  Seafood is not always my favorite choice, but the grilled variety was absolutely delicious.  I enjoyed the smoky flavor of the salmon.  I love knowing that its a great source of natural omega-3s so I can feel good about eating it and serving it to baby boy.
