Zipadee-Zip Wearable Baby Blanket Review and Giveaway

It's hard to believe my baby boy is almost seven months old.  It honestly seems like forever ago that he was a newborn, swaddled and cozy for most of the day. Now is is a boy on the move doing his caterpillar scooch all over the floor.  One of the many things that have changed are his sleep habits. He has gone from being a great sleeper, to good sleeper, horrible sleeper and working his way back to being great again.  I know this is common for a lot of babies as they either transition from bassinet to crib or move from being swaddled into wearing pajamas.

One product I discovered shortly before my baby boy was born is the Zipadee-Zip.  It was designed by a parent who went from having a baby who loved being swaddled and slept through the night to getting awakened multiple times during the night because the baby was no longer comfortable in the swaddle.  Other times the swaddle would break free so it would no longer be safe.  As a result the Zipadee-Zip was created and became the solution to the swaddle transition.

The Zipadee-Zip works because it soothes the startle reflex and provides baby with the cozy womb-like environment they loved so much but still gives them the freedom to roll over and wiggle around their crib safely.  It is designed for babies transitioning that are between 3 and 6 months old.  Check out this video to see how the Zipadee-Zip works:

As I mentioned above my baby boy had gone from being a great sleeper to not so great.  I decided to try the Zipadee-Zip wearable blanket on him.  We had already moved away from swaddling, but I know he still likes feeling cozy.  I want him to be comfortable and warm enough and know it's not safe to use blankets in his crib.

He liked wearing the Zipadee-Zip.  I had been concerned that he might not like it since he has been used to having his hands free, but it did not seem to bother him at all.  He's not a thumb sucker so I didn't have to worry about him not being able to self-soothe in that way.

He's able to move around comfortably in it and still lays on his side in the position he's gotten used to.  I know the true test is how well he sleeps in it and I am very happy to report that he's been sleeping great when wearing it!

Although the Zipadee-Zip's primary use is to aid in sleeping.  It is helpful in other ways as well.  Check out these seven uses for the Zipadee-Zip:

1. Sleep – Aids swaddle transition and teaches self-soothing skills
2. Travel – Encourages sleep and settling on long car or plane rides
3. Dr. Office Visits – Eliminates tedious clothing changes
4. Grocery Visits and Plane Rides – Provides a GERM FREE environment
5. Breastfeeding – Prevents a baby from scratching themselves and momma
6. Stroller walks or walks/rides in a sling or baby carrier – can be worn while buckled or strapped in
7. MORE SLEEP! Aids transition to crib off of a swing, or rock and play sleeper and helps sick little ones get rest when they wouldn't otherwise

  85. The Zipadee-Zip is by far the BEST wearable blanket for the swaddle transition journey one can buy for their baby. When my son started breaking out of his swaddle our entire sleep patterns began to be affected with my son not being able to sleep. The Zipadee-Zip worked wonderfully in soothing and comforting my child. It allows him to sleep for longer periods of time and he is usually sound asleep within 20 minutes of him being in it.
