WearHop Review and $100 WearHop Credit Giveaway

I received rental credit and compensation from WearHop for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.

I normally don't get stressed out about the clothes my kids have until the time comes when I realize what they don't have.  It's hard when there is a special occasion coming up and they don't have appropriate clothes for the event.  I remember shopping for my daughter for a dress to wear to a wedding and getting very stressed about finding the right look at the right price.  On our last big family vacation we went on a cruise and I remember thinking how nice it would have been to have my son a little more dressed up on formal night.  The honest truth is that we really can't afford to buy our kids clothes they are only going to wear once or twice if we're lucky.  That is why I was intrigued when I heard about the new site wearhop.com.

At wearhop.com, parents can now save a lot of money by renting their kids’ clothes for a season, versus buying them. For example, a Janie & Jack dress that retails for $69, can be rented for a season new for 40% off or 'like new' for 64% off. Parents can save even more, up to 70% off, for special occasion items, which can be rented for as little as one month.

WearHop was created by a mom that had similar frustrations to my own and found herself wanting a way to save on her favorite brands and the styles that often sold out at the original retailers before hitting the sales rack.  At WearHop you'll find brands like Janie and Jack, crewcuts, Hanna Andersson, Tea Collection and more.  I adore Janie and Jack styles, but we don't have a store in our city and when I do get to one I head right back to the sales racks because I can't afford to pay full price for the clothes that are in season.

WearHop carries sizes 12 months to 4T, so I was able to select some clothes to borrow for my daughter.  It was very easy to search for girls' dresses and I found so many I would have loved to see her in.  I selected the first dress for her and then I was able to select the color and size.  (You can also search by size if you'd like because not all styles are available in all sizes.)  After that you can choose if you want to wear that style in new or "like new" and select how many months from 1-6 that you'd like to rent it for.  The prices increases by about $4 per month.  You also have the option to buy them at the end of the rental period.

This Lilly Pulitzer Little Helena sweater dress retails for $78!  I chose the "like new" option on this one, but the tags were still on when we received it.

My daughter was having fun with her "fashion shoot" and my son was the acting photographer.  This mini Boden pretty ruffle sweater dress retails for $56.

This Lilly Pulitzer Mini Evie Dress retails for $88!  I am loving this dress, but there is no way we could afford that price tag.  Now we get to enjoy the dress and take some great pictures then send it back instead of storing it in the basement.

Shipping at WearHop is $5 flat rate.  This includes return shipping!  You'll reuse the same package the clothes in and you'll receive a shipping label to place on it.  I love that it's a simple process and eco-friendly too.

I forgot to mention how incredibly fast the clothing came.  I placed the order on one day and I received a shipping confirmation the very next day.  They arrived via the USPS just a couple days later.
