Progressive Snapshot Review & Flo Swag Giveaway #TrySnapshot

My hubby and I recently completed the Snapshot Test Drive Program from Progressive.  I'm willing to try anyting at least once if it means saving money.  We don't currently have Progressive auto insurance, so we were definitely curious to see if it could find any savings for us.

Once you sign up to test drive with Snapshot you'll receive the device in the mail soon after.  It gets plugged in the car and then off you go.

You then receive weekly updates via email projected savings (you can also log in and check these at any time).  You'll learn interesting info about your driving including the number of hard breaks, rapid accelerations and your average daily mileage.  After your 30 day test drive is up you just unplug the device, mail it back with the prepaid label Progressive included and compare your savings.

In our case Progressive wasn't able to find any additional savings through Snapshot.  The number of hard brakes seemed to be a deciding factor for us.  It's interesting that we both drive the car equally and we both experienced the Snapshot device signaling our hard breaks often.  We never felt that we were slamming on our brakes, so that may have been our downfall.  Our average daily mileage was also a little higher than I thought it might be.  Even though we didn't find any extra savings I did find the whole program very easy to use and interesting too!

The Giveaway:  Thanks to Progressive Snapshot one winner will receive a "Flo Swag" prize pack that includes everything pictured above including a t-shirt, Progressive apron, dry erase board, mints and more!  Giveaway will end October 29th.
