Recipe - Beer Bread

Here is a very simple recipe for beer bread.  Pair it with some spinach dip for a yummy appetizer.

Beer Bread

3 c. self-rising flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 can warm beer, any kind

Mix the above ingredients and pour into large greased bread pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

  5. I think maybe it doesnt need yeast because the beer helps it to rise???? But I sure am going try this recipe because my son loves beer bread with onion dip for our cookouts. thanks for the recipe

  24. Interesting! I'd like to try this recipe. So simple, and no bread machine required. I wonder if certain kinds of beer (e.g., something like Guinness), or a flavored beer, would make a difference. Neat recipe; thank you for posting it!
